Help and Support for Firewall!

My name is Emy. I am a school teacher who is in love with her profession. Teaching small kids is a very great feeling and I am experiencing it to the core. My students are small kids ranging between the ages 4-5 years. I love them a lot and take that extra pain to teach them with dedication. To make the classroom more interesting, I taught them with pictures and images of various trees, animals, reptiles, etc. collected from the Internet. Daily after going back to my home, I do some research on the Internet and find out some interesting pictures and get them printed for the next day class. Thanks to my Dell Studio which I bought one year ago.

One day, as I was downloading some pictures from the Internet, one of my friends visited my place. When she came to know about my idea, she was very happy and gave a pat on my shoulder. However, she cautioned me that if the firewall was not configured properly in my laptop, the laptop could become infected by various threats. She opened my firewall settings and tried to configure it herself but then gave up as she was not so confident. She told me that it was always wise to let an experienced technician to configure the firewall in Windows 7. When I enquired her as how to find an experienced technician, she gave me the phone number of this tech-support company and added that she had talked to the technicians in this company a couple of times before and the tech guys were wonderful.

By the time my friend had left my place, I was already a bit worried and anxious about the fate of my Dell laptop. I did not want to get it infected by any threats and also in the mean time I wanted to download pictures from the Internet without any fear of infection. I did not wait any longer and dialed the number given by my friend. A guy at the other end picked the phone and I told him about all my concerns and also said that I wanted firewall help immediately. I was distressed and he could empathize it quite well. Within minutes he connected to my laptop through remote assistance and got my firewall configuration done. He assured me that they were available 24/7 and I could reach them any time in the future if any firewall help was required.

I am delighted. I no longer need to fear about Internet threats while downloading pictures for my kids!

Thank you for the help and support for firewall…..Thanks!!….Thanks again!!!!

Repair Firewall Configuration with Remote Tech Support

I recently downloaded an antivirus in order to upgrade my security setting. However after downloading the software, I was not able download movies and other music files. This problem just seems to come all out of a sudden; everything had been working fine for two weeks. I then tried to reconfigure the settings of the antivirus to all me to download the file, as I thought that the antivirus software was mistaking the file downloads to be an illegal file operation.

After I couldn’t configure the antivirus to enable me to download the file, I thought that something may be wrong with my Internet browser. As a result I tried to configure the option of the browser to enable me to download automatically without prompting me. At first it seemed that I will be able to download the file from the Internet but still got a message from the antivirus stating that I did not have the sufficient rights or privileges to download the file. My last resort was to change the firewall settings of my operating system, but to my avail, I was not successful in doing that as well.

After giving up hope, I called up tech support to help me troubleshoot with the issue. The technician at the other end was very helpful in understanding my situation. He ran a quick diagnostic of my PC and helped me in firewall configuration. I got to know from him that all this while there was a simple issue within the antivirus itself as the firewall setting were set at a higher level. The technician just lowered the settings for me so that I could download the files from the Internet. After doing so he cross checked whether I could download any files. After a successful download of a music file, he told me that the problem was only with the firewall settings of the antivirus.

I was quite relieved to hear this. From next time onwards I will only contact tech support for firewall help.

Experts for Microsoft support

Yesterday morning, I was doing some urgent work in my pathology. I was busy in testing and diagnosing blood samples, collected from various hospitals. The entire day was about to finish and I was left only with 1 hr more. I sat on the computer and started documenting the reports in a Microsoft Excel sheet. Suddenly, the power turned off and when it came back I was unable to reopen the desired sheet. It was showing error message.

I tried everything what I could. I restarted the computer but again there was no use. I was almost paralyzed, my head was blank. I called up one of my friend to see the problem, but he too couldn't help me. He suggested me a Microsoft remote tech support provider. I dialed the number and soon got connected to a technician. He took the complete information regarding the occurrence of the problem and asked for permission for remote access of my machine. Earlier I was a bit hesitant but he showed me his company's websites and other things, and on his assurance I went along with him. He fixed the problem within 10 minutes. I was completely astonished at his attempt and smart work.

I was so fascinated with their service that I took the annual subscription of the company, which includes support for Microsoft software. Now, I fell totally relieved as I can access their support via the remote Internet connection from anywhere. I don't need to go to any repair shop or call any technicians and keep waiting for my turn. Besides, I don't need to worry about my peripherals such as printers and scanners as these too are covered under the same subscription.

Sony support helped to solve my laptop problems

There is no doubt about it- a mother of two kids would always find it tough to double up as a freelance journalist. But I am glad that with the right discipline and attitude, I have been able to do a decent job till now. My specialty lies in doing art and entertainment reviews for a local daily. Freelance journalism for me is like running my own business, where I am my own CEO, CMO, and also manage the R&D department. As a wife and mother of two kids aged four and two, working in a home-office environment allows me to be more flexible to my work schedule as well as take care of my family's needs.

Maintaining a database is an essential part of my daily work. I get most of my ideas by reading obscure art magazines and insider websites, and then I sell the story idea to the mainstream media. I do keep a daily pitch in the sense that I type down new ideas that seem interesting to me. I just pick up the best idea and pitch it to the editors. What keeps me going is my to-do-list on my Sony Laptop. I always categorize the list subject-wise so that it is handy when I need it. This method always gives me time to concentrate on the urgent and the most important tasks, which helps me to maintain a good work-life balance. I schedule every task starting from an appointment with a doctor to a visit to the grocer easily on my Sony laptop. So imagine what would happen to me if something were to go wrong with my computer!

A week back I experienced a Computer problem related to booting of my Sony laptop. It refused to start on several occasions and all that I was left with was a black screen. Many a times the start up sound of Sony VAIO would ring but the system would immediately shut down. I knew that I was too naïve and inexperienced  to handle this problem on my own. My neighbor talked about remote assistance and various related services provided by iYogi. I wondered if they support Sony laptops and decided to call them on their toll free number. To my surprise and delight I found that iYogi had expert technicians who were capable of undertaking a complete diagnosis of my Sony laptop. They could troubleshoot all issues and problems related to my laptop. In no time they remotely accessed my system and fixed the problems that I was facing.  I felt reassured and more in control of my life. Yes, it's surprising how dependent I have become on the Sony laptop to organize my daily routine. But now, with the iYogi technicians providing 24x7 support services for my laptop, I need not worry about my schedule going haywire every time the machine stops working.  After all, life is all about finding the right solutions to your problems.

Tips to increase Internet speed in Windows XP

Internet connection allows you to stay connected with other computers across  the world. Furthermore, it’s also a method for you to earn money from various online resources and a way to entertain yourself. So, any problem in smooth functioning of your Internet connection can be really frustrating.  My tips can help you in increasing Internet speed.
If you’re running Windows XP on your PC and want to increase the Internet speed, there are a number of tweaks out there that will easily allow you to boost Internet speed.
There are lots of things you can do to increase Internet speed on Windows XP computer, but this blog just talks five of the most useful ones.
Method 1: Release Bandwidth
I’m sure most of you must not be aware that by default, XP reserves 20% of your bandwidth for its own use. This is a very surprising and should be undone right away. To perform this, you don’t need to download & install software, just follow the given steps below.
STEP 1. Launch Group Policy Editor. This can be performed easily by typing gpedit.msc in the Run box.
STEP 2. Navigate to Computer Configuration/Administrative Templates/Network/QOS Packet Scheduler using the pane on the left side.
STEP 3. In the left pane, you’ll see a Setting with the name Limit reservable bandwidth, right-click this and select properties.
STEP 4. Next click on enabled and set bandwidth limit % 0.
That’s all! The next task for you is to optimize TCP/IP settings.
Method 2:  Optimizing TCP/IP settings
In order to accomplish this task, you’ll require a freeware program called SG TCP Optimizer. This tool will optimize the manner in which your system sends and receives data packets. As a result the Internet speed becomes fast. Though it is most suitable for broadband connections, however it works for just about any type of connection.
STEP 1.  Download SG TCP Optimizer and run it.
STEP 2. Click General Settings tab, just pull the slider to match your connection’s download speed. Then, at the bottom of the same window, choose the “Optimal Settings” radio button and click “Apply Changes”.
STEP 3. Reboot your system and enjoy high Internet speed.
Recommendation
To increase the Internet speed, you can also opt for online optimizations services provided by various tech support organizations. Their Microsoft Certified technicians can troubleshoot and fix slow, faulty Internet, Internet Explorer & Netscape browsing errors, re-install & configure faulty Internet connection, fix errors while browsing and delete cookies and history.

Computer Support

Now days, computer support is offered either through online or on-site. Online computer support offers many benefits when compared to on-site computer support. The main requisite for online computer support is an Internet connection with the system.
Whenever you face any technical issue with your computer, just contact your service provider and your issue gets resolved. Your system will be accessed by a technician through the remote connection after taking your permission. After accessing your system, technician will diagnose it carefully and after that performs the necessary action to resolve your technical issue.
Online computer support can be accessed from any part of the world unlike the on-site support. It takes less time in resolving your technical issues as compared to the time taken by service centre. Online support offers you a wide range of services for a fixed price, but this is not the case with on-site support.
Some of the services offered through online computer support are enlisted as:
·        Installation of new software
·        Diagnostic and repair of hardware issues
·        Troubleshooting
·        Update drivers and security to protect against online threats
·        PC optimization
·        Customizing your Internet, office suite, e-mail settings
·        Configuration of Web browsers for faster Internet access
·        Virus removal
·        Firewall installation
So, it is viable to say that online computer support is more beneficial in resolving technical issues.

Technical Support: Online PC scan and Virus Removal

Viruses are basically the harmful programs which can enter into your computer through various means and can compromise the safety and security of your PC. When your computer system gets infected with viruses, you can easily recognize it because of your computer’s malfunctioning.
·         Some of the common signs of virus infection are as follows:
·          Your computer system crashes or reboots automatically.
·         Hard disk data present in your computer system gets corrupted
·         Hard disk is not detected or is not booting.
·         Computer becomes very slow in performing even normal operations like saving a file, copying data etc.
·         Some of the application software installed on your computer system crashes
·         Random messages appear on the monitor.
If you want to check the presence of viruses in your computer, you can scan your PC online and get a spyware blocker installed. Scanning your PC online will inform you about any infected files present in your system. Various online PC scanners are available from companies like Kaspersky, BitDefender, F-Secure, and many others.
Online PC scanner will run in a browser window on your computer system. There is no need for its installation. Online PC scanner is able to remove only those viruses which are already present on your computer system. However, it will not provide any protection in future. For complete computer security and virus removal from your PC in present date as well as in future you should install updated antivirus software on your computer system.
